Career Atlas is an educational tool that helps kids and families explore careers. We built it to be privacy-first: we do not require accounts, and we do not collect personal information about you or your child.

What we collect

Almost nothing. Career Atlas has no login and no user accounts. We do not ask for your name, email, address, phone number, or any other information that identifies you.

Information stored on your device

As you use Career Atlas, your choices, saved careers, quiz answers, and progress are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This information stays on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it.

You can erase all of it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for Career Atlas.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages are used. This analytics is aggregate only: it does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not collect information that identifies you or your child. Because we set no tracking cookies, Career Atlas does not need a cookie-consent banner.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Career Atlas is intended for use by children with their families. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. There are no accounts, no messaging, no photo uploads, and no way for a child to share personal details through the app. Progress is stored only on the device, and a parent or guardian can clear it at any time. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

Third-party services

• Hosting: Our host serves the site and may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability. These logs are not used to identify or track individuals.
• Fonts: We load fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address as part of delivering the font files.
• Career videos (YouTube): Some careers link to a short video that plays inside the app using YouTube's privacy-enhanced player. A video only loads if you choose to play it. When it does, YouTube (Google) may collect data according to their own privacy policy.

What we never do

• We do not sell or share personal data, because we do not collect it.
• We do not show advertising.
• We do not use tracking cookies or cross-site trackers.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page.
